BUYING A PUPPY

Our dogs and puppies are very special to us and we want them to go to special people.  Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, much like children! Most of our pups are sold as hunting companions and hunt test prospects but some go to homes as family pets. If you think you are ready for a new family member, then shoot me an email. I will send you an application to fill out or we can do a phone interview.  If you are approved , you will then be placed on our waiting list for the breeding of your choice. When the pups of your chosen breeding are born, we will then require a deposit, the amount determined by the litter.  This will reserve your puppy. First deposit received gets first choices of pups, second deposit gets second choice and so on.

We know that people love to come visit their new pup and watch it grow. However, we don't encourage visits before the pups are 4 weeks old, due to their vulnerability to disease.

After 4 weeks, visits are encouraged. We just want to protect the puppies.

Our pups are sold on a limited registration to discourage random breeding.

I know you will have questions for us, and we will happily answer them to the best of our ability.

Our puppies are exposed to pigeon wings at 5 weeks of age, then wing clipped birds at 6 weeks. This allows us to evaluate hunting drive and a desire to learn. Our pups come with dewclaws removed, vet checked, first shots, and dewormed. Weather permitting, they are also exposed to water.
